- Dr. Dramie speaks on the Oral Tradition from African Perspective
To hear Dr. Dramie and other Guest speakers from this series.
I remember attending this sohbet. It was excellent. All three speakers did a good job of discussing the importance of sohbet and they each had a unique perspective. The importance of getting the message, in-person/live, while it was still “warm” was emphasized. In the modern age, sohbets can be recorded and trasmitted over vast distances. Although you could get a transmission in this way, it’s not the same. The numerous benefits of coming together and keeping the company of good people were stressed.
